Leiwen is about 25 km downstream on the Mosel from Trier and about 25 km upstream on the Mosel from Bernkastel-Kues.

Route description

To the Moseltal Resort...

From Cologne

Travelling from the direction of Cologne, continue on the A 1 motorway past the Erftal junction and follow the A 61. At Exit 34 - Mendig turn onto the B 262  in the direction of Mayen and follow the signs for A 48/A 1. At Exit 6 - Mayen switch to the A 48 motorway, and at the Vulkaneifel junction continue on the A 1 motorway. Exit from the motorway at Exit 128 - Föhren and follow the signs for Leiwen.


From Koblenz

Travelling from the direction of Koblenz, continue on the A 48 motorway, and at the Vulkaneifel junction continue on the A 1 motorway. Exit from the motorway at Exit 128 - Föhren and follow the signs for Leiwen.


From Saarbrücken

Travelling from the direction of Saarbrücken, continue on the A 8 motorway to the Saarbrücken junction, then switch onto the A 1 motorway in the direction of Koblenz/Trier. Exit from the motorway at Exit 128 - Föhren and follow the signs for Leiwen.


From Kaiserslautern

Travelling from the direction of Kaiserslautern, continue on the A 6 motorway until the Landstuhl-West junction, there switch to the A 62 motorway in the direction of Trier/Birkenfeld. At the Nonnweiler junction switch to the A 1 motorway in the direction of Koblenz/Trier, then exit from the motorway at Exit 128 - Föhren and follow the signs for Leiwen.
